Shirley Hubbard is planning an anthology of stories about shame that is similar in scope to Amy's new book, Stuff I've Never Told Anyone: Finding Power in the Shadow of Shame.
They discuss what worked well for Amy and how Shirley can use a some of the same structures to provide a safe space for her contributing authors. Listen in if you've ever wanted to submit a story to a book collection or if you've ever wanted to organize and publish one yourself.
It's a lot of work, but a very worthwhile project!

Rachel Hinkle heard about the VoicePenPurpose book project: Stuff I've Never Told Anyone: Finding Power in the Shadow of Shame and decided to contribute a short story about her own life.
The project was super specific and all contributions were anonymous, so it's interesting to hear why Rachel was attracted to book and why she decided to write what she did.
Listen in and get ideas for a book project of your own!
Stuff I've Never Told Anyone: Finding Power in the Shadow of Shame will be available on Amazon later this month (April 24th). All profits from the sale of the book will be donated to The House of Ruth.

We are switching things up to talk about Stuff I've Never Told Anyone: Finding Power in the Shadow of Shame, the pro bono book project I've been working on since the Presidential election.
Almost 100 women joined a secret group with me to work through 5 writing workshops before submitting an anonymous writing piece. As the letters, poems, and short stories started pouring in, I realized we had something special. Each woman's experiences around shame ultimately resulted in deeper wisdom and understanding. The project, and women involved, continues to amaze me.
Angelique joins me on this episode to discuss her experiences with the book project, working with Oprah for almost two decades, and spotting the moments when we can live a little bigger in our own lives despite the shame that tries to keep us in check.
Stuff I've Never Told Anyone: Finding Power in the Shadow of Shame will be available on Amazon and Kindle April 24th
